Today was the final straw and I want to hold myself to account: UPDATE : 42 days and 22 pounds down!
Stats: M36 6'1" SW: 332 CW: 310 GW:224
A day late as I was super busy yesterday - however all my stats were recorded as of yesterday
tl;dr: I have lost 22 pounds in the last 42 days. I took control of my calorie intake and eat at a -1000 calorie deficit in order to reduce my weight to a safe level and improve the health of my family (see Day1 post for details)
On reflection of the last two weeks...
I will Start:
- To get on my bicycle - I mentioned this last time but other than a couple of times with my kids I haven't started this in anger.
- Using my fitbit to measure the impact exercise is having on me.
- To make use of my new standing desk for at least 50% of my work day!
I will Stop:
- Significantly under eating. There were days where I was at a huge deficit and I have been spending evenings and weekends renovating my office. I felt pretty dizzy and horrible - which is probably why so much weight came off in the second week. I'm glad it did, but it's not sustainable long term. 2lb a week max is plenty.
I will Continue:
- To read this sub. The progress people share is inspirational and the love/motivation given by members of this sub is unbelievable - what a community!
- To weigh myself weekly and assess my intake/exercise from the last week. 1 week ago I noticed that I'd only lost 1/2 lb but I did have a "cheat meal" that turned into a "cheat day". The following week I was strict again and managed to lose 4 lbs that week.
- To reap the rewards of my loss and feel much better in my clothes! This week is the first I've noticed a significant change in the mirror and how my clothes sit on my body. A belt I couldn't fit in at the beginning of this journey I'm now on the second notch of!
