Can't figure out my Daily Calories
A couple years ago I got my act together and dropped 75lbs. But when COVID hit (plus a couple other factors) I put 20 of them back on, and I'm struggling to take it off. Maybe it's because when I started I was mid 20s and now I'm getting closer to 30? (does your metabolism slow at 30?) Anyway, When i put my information into the BMR calculator, here's what I got. (I'm 29yo female, 5ft 7, 84.9kg)
BMR = 1,607 Calories/day,
Daily calorie needs based on activity level:
Activity LevelCalorieSedentary: little or no exercise 1,928,
Exercise 1-3 times/week 2,209,
Exercise 4-5 times/week 2,354,
Daily exercise or intense exercise 3-4 times/week 2,490 , Intense exercise 6-7 times/week 2,771,
Very intense exercise daily, or physical job 3,053,
I have a treadmill at home. I walk a brisk pace, and try to do 20k steps a day. Usually takes me about 3 hours to do. I do this 5 days a week. (sometimes weekends too, but I like to rest then so I just do the 10k steps mostly)
I was hoping to take off at minimum, 1lb a week, but I would like to aim for 1kg if I can.
How much should I be eating to meet the minimum and the maximum of this goal?
Reading 2,000+ calories seems like a lot, but maybe that's because in the past I've really struggled with food and how to lose in a healthy way (when I originally lost weight I was sticking to a strict 1200 a day diet, and it lead to an ED, purging when I went over) so seeing double that... It's a bit scary not gonna lie Is that a normal amount to still lose? Or is it just my bad relationship with food rearing its head?
Any answers and advice given would be much appreciated :)
