Should I count calories?

I wanna learn how to count calories, but I don't know where to start.

I wanna lose fat with Calorie Deficit, but is it really necessary to count? And if you want my activity info, I play Volleyball and Light BWF exercises, I do BWF like, 1 or 2 times a week, or more if I'm really motivated. I barely do these so I'm sedentary.

I searched my TDEE, I'm 5'4 & 145lbs. (I'm not sure If I'm still 145 since the last time I checked my bmi was a month ago.) My maintenance is 1,743 calories while being sedentary.

I'll need a food scale so I'll get one, but where do you guys who are experienced in counting search the calories of the food? Since I play sport, do I have to eat 2,200 calories more since that's what my TDEE says if I put my activity to Moderate level?

Note: Again, I wanna lose fat and maybe get a little lean. My goal is to get to 130-120lbs in a 8-12 months since that's more sustainable than 5 months.

EDIT: 146lbs*
