Crisping up keto waffles without mozzarella?

I made some keto waffles using the following ingredients:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of cinnamon

They were ok. Probably needed some salt. But they had no crisp. Aside from switching to full on chaffle with lots of mozzarella cheese, is there a way to make this basic keto waffle with almond flour more crispy?
