To those who don’t have much weight to lose

I often feel awkward posting here and pretending that I’m “one of you.” I feel like I shouldn’t be here, because I realize how lucky I am. (please don’t mistake what I’m saying to be offensive - all of your success stories inspire me so so much) I gained some weight pretty quickly after marriage, and have been slowing chipping away at it for the past couple of years. I’m in my mid-20s, 5’4” with a slender build, and my highest weight was 156. I went from a size 6/8 to a 12. Currently I’m 143 (most of it in my waist). The weight has been such an obstacle, but I often feel silly because it’s not that much. My struggle is someone else’s goal weight. Right now my goal is to get to 130, keeping in mind that my body is curvier and more womanly than it was five years ago when I started gaining. Then I’ll evaluate and see where I want to go from there. But since i can still wear a size small t-shirt and its not “that much weight,” I can be very unmotivated. I will exercise and get my steps in and count my calories, but then the next day I’ll sit around all day and go over my calories because “it’s not that much weight, I can just try again tomorrow.” How do you stay motivated? I so want to meet my goals and be healthier for my future.
