Goal: obesity-free by adulthood

I’ve been overweight since I was 8 years old and obese since 11-12. My weight has fluctuated a lot and I was relatively small in 9th grade because I lost a lot of weight from anxiety, I quickly gained it back. There have only been a few times in my life that I really took losing weight seriously, but I think I’m finally on the right track.

I always thought I was a lost cause and I associated losing weight with vigorous exercise. I felt defeated since there are only a few exercise related activities that I enjoy and are sustainable. I have since changed my outlook on weight loss.

I found this sub not long ago and browsed through not expecting it to motivate me much. I saw people talking about MyFitnessPal and I decided to try it out. Two weeks in and I’ve already lost some weight. Not much but enough that I think this will stick. I’ve never felt so optimistic about getting back to a healthy weight and starting my adult life without obesity weighing me down. (No pun intended lol)
