Is it normal to feel less confident after losing weight?

I’m a 19 year old female who’s 5’2” and I’ve lost 20 lbs. I’m still about 40 lbs away from where I want to be, but I’m definitely looking better. But I feel less confident for some reason.

I understand I could feel this way because I’m constantly comparing my body now to how I want it to be in order to see the progress I’m making. This causes me to think how I am now isn’t good. But I’m noticing that I feel nervous that someone doesn’t like me, whereas I never used to feel that. I’m anxious a lot more than previously.

My question for anybody out there reading this, did you ever go through a stage where you felt less confident, and did it affect you emotionally?
