Keto-Friendly Milk Tea
For those of you who miss boba shop milk tea, I've come up with this alternative that comes pretty close to the taste and texture of the no sugar version. If you want to add zero-calorie sweetener, stir it into the tea just before adding the coconut milk and cream.
Ingredients:
- 6 tea bags (black, green, or chai works best; avoid anything containing lemon)
- 500 ml water
- 500 ml unsweetened coconut milk (So Delicious brand or similar)
- 150 ml heavy cream
Directions:
- Bring water to a boil, add tea bags, and steep at least 6 hours, though preferably overnight (refrigerate the tea once it cools to room temperature)
- Discard the tea bags, add the coconut milk and heavy cream, and stir well
- Serve over ice
Macro Breakdown, per 1150 ml batch: 600 cal, 59g fat, 7g carbs, 0g protein
