How I've been tracking my weight loss / my weigh in spreadsheet

I've seen various weigh in tracking speadsheets (including from posts on reddit) - but I ended up making my own and I figured I'd share if anyone has any ideas or if it helps anyone...

A few notes:

  • I try to weight myself daily (especially the last few months) at around the same time (generally first thing in the morning after the shower). I know generally recommendations are not to weight daily but I try not to overanalyze, and the additional data points help with forecasting.
  • I have several 'forecast' columns (most hidden) - essentially I have an overall 'forecast' on E/F looking at how I'm trending since I started losing weight and tracking daily. But I create new ones for each month to see the month to month change of pace.
  • Columns E&F do auto format font color based on BMI... so in scrolling i can see based on the forecast when i'll (hopefully) change to those milestones)
  • AJ/AK shows # and % I've lost since my max this year... which helps in motivation too
  • Graphs and Milestones just show different ways of looking at the data... headings are fairly self explanatory...

Making this and tweaking it - and seeing the data has helped me with my motivation.

Also, I don't have a goal weight - but goal certainly isn't to get to the unhealthy weight the trend line takes it to... I imagine somewhere in the midpoint of a healthy BMI... 175lb maybe?

Here is the file...

Let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions please.
