Cutting out alcohol because it ruins my progress and makes me feel like s***
I started dieting and exercising about a month ago, then decided to grab drinks with my friends 2 days ago to celebrate the holiday season. Lo and behold, got drunk way too fast and HAD to eat something super carby/high cal when I got home otherwise I'd get sick.
The next morning, I felt awful and could only feel better with a vegan BLT. Continued feeling like crap for the rest of the day and did not want to go to the gym.
I've now made the decision for myself to not drink alcohol because I no longer enjoy feeling intoxicated, nor do I like being hungover. It ruins my mental state for being healthy and stints my progress by making me lethargic and bloated. I straight up just don't like alcohol anymore haha.
Anyone else ever have a similar experience?
