[SV] Broke into the Overweight BMI!
Around my birthday (Sept 11th) I hit 260. I had always told myself that 300 lbs was where I drew the line and I'd never go above that, but at 260, I couldn't fathom what another 40 lbs would look like.
I'm also a senior in college, and I didn't want to look like this for my graduation. I have been simply tracking calories and lightly exercising (Well, during October I set a personal goal of walking 10,000 steps a day, so not always lightly exercising) since then and have hit slightly below/slightly above 220 for a few days now. At 6 ft, that puts my BMI at 29.8..... I'm not considered obese anymore!!!!
Starting this journey a few months ago, I would have done this so much sooner had I known about CICO and how easy (Simple) it is! I'm happy to have found this subreddit, and to have gotten to participate in the last challenge (Team Luma was great) and I want to say to everyone who is still losing weight or maintaining I'm proud of all of you!
I will say, I have been far from clean eating. I still eat fast food, have treats, and everything else. I still track those calories though, I still stay under my calories for the day. That has been what works for me and I definitely do eat healthier in areas (Always liked salads, ranch was my go to for dressing, but there are sooooooo many dressings that honestly taste better and are "cheaper" calorie-wise. Got a crock pot and portion out a big bowl of soup or a roast. I've done what I believe I can do as a lifestyle and I think everyone needs to find their own method that will work!
