I just found out that cutting out oil makes my life so nice (not fat. Just oil)
I stopped eating dairy and using oil in my food (even for cooking). I still eat fats. I eat lots of yummy avocado and all types of nuts and seeds and nut butter. The amount of food I get to eat is amazing. I’m 23, 5’10” and lightly to moderately active and have been slowly losing weight. I eat about 1500-1900 calories a day. (~400cal breakfast ~500 call lunch and dinner and about 2 ~200 cal snacks). IM NEVER HUNGRY, NOW! I’m lightly hungry before I eat but I’m never deprived. I try to focus on eating whole foods instead of processed and tons of plants. Like 95% plants.
Ex of cutting out oil: I cut up one of my batch cooked steamed potatoes into fry shapes, season them like crazy, and broil til they’re brown and the small ones are cronchy and then dip it in ketchup for a snack and IT’S SO MUCH FOOD and less than 200 calories. I don’t even feel like I’m dieting. I think I finally found what works for me with “healthy lifestyle” instead of diet. (I obviously eat oils when I eat out but I only do that 1-2 times a week and just watch the calories more closely that meal. I do refrain from dairy at all times)
Overall I feel great. My skin has cleared, my pms has improved; my food anxiety, restrictions and subsequent extreme binging many times a week has stopped; my moods are stable. I’m not even weighing myself anymore. I’m just enjoying watching my body look better and better. I’m at a healthy weight and am now just losing vanity weight. After 16 years of exhausting and ineffective dieting (parents started me on Atkins at age 7), have I finally found healthy? I slowly transitioned to this lifestyle over about 3 months time and I think that’ll insure It won’t change anytime soon.
TLDR: I learned french fries can still taste good without oil, and getting rid of oil gets rid of tons of excess calories and lets me eat til I’m so full even on calorie restriction.
