Terry Crews 5 Keys to Self Discipline

Terry Crews is awesome. He posted a video on self discipline (will link first one below there’s a second one though) that really resonated with me!

I liked when he mentioned seeing discipline not as punishment but as training. We are training bad pathways/habits in our brains into new ones not punishing. So next time I get the urge to go binge on fish and chips rather than restraining and feeling like I’m punishing myself and forcing myself not to do what I want, I see it as training. It’s an opportunity and I’m making myself stronger and one step closer to that great day when i won’t crave junk food 10x a day. I’m training to get there so I use the opportunity to learn, it’s not punishment!
