How to deal with loved ones who guilt you for losing the weight?

I’m overweight but the 2nd smallest of my social circle. I fluctuated in weight for years and although I never mentioned it to people around me, obviously putting on and taking off the same 65 pounds every couple of years speaks for itself. I recently just decided to announce at New Years that I’m losing weight as a way to keep myself accountable and not back out. It’s been a month and I just celebrated losing 10 pounds. A friend just sent me the most scathing message about how I betrayed her and basically insinuated that my decision to lose weight must mean that I hate fat people. She said that so many others believe the same thing about me, even though I haven’t heard from anyone else... but people around here are known for talking behind each other’s backs. I find this incredibly immature and toxic, but it puts a seed of doubt in my mind that perhaps my friends aren’t the type of people I thought they were. Part of me wants to just pile the weight back on but that would be letting them manipulate me and win. I’m in my 30s and my work place is very insular, it’s so hard to make new friends at this stage in my life.
