NSV: I went an entire month without eating fast food!

This may seem easy to a lot of people, but for the last year I was easily eating fast food AT LEAST once a day, more realistically twice, and sometimes absolutely three times. Between full time work and full time graduate school, my time was limited, and I made so many excuses. I would stop for my bagel/coffee while on the way to work, UberEats or go to our work cafeteria for lunch, and pick up fast food on the way home/to class. I would easily go months without stepping foot into a grocery store.

But I kicked it into gear for 2019 and decided I couldn’t make excuses anymore and even though I still work 7 days a week. The biggest mindset change for me was realizing I don’t have time to NOT take care of my health. Figuring this out is what helped keep me focused for the entire month. I can’t get healthy without making an effort and prioritizing my minimal time. I still don’t typically cook, but I can throw together a lunch of deli turkey breast, cottage cheese, a fruit, and some veggies for lunch, and I’m also saving way more money compared to eating fast food all the time!

I am planning to treat myself to Chick-fil-a tomorrow as a reward for the month, but wow does it feel great to actually accomplish this!
