(NSV) My jeans are quickly becoming too big!

Around the first a January I decided it was time to stop procrastinating and making excuses and just lose weight. My starting weight isn’t at all anything crazy (I was 5’ 5” and 153 lbs, so still in the overweight category). And I’m already omg seeing progress.

I’ve only lost like four/five pounds on the scale, but I feel really good. I feel more agile. My favorite band dropped a new single on Friday un-expectedly and I didn’t feel weighed down at ALL while jumping around in my bedroom to it. I kinda did a couple pounds ago. Maybe it’s all a placebo, but I’m okay with that lol.

But my biggest notice is that my clothes are already fitting me different. I have three pairs of jeans I cycle through and one pair I wear to work. I have two size eight skinny jeans and one size ten pair of structured jeans. All of these feel too big after a day of wear. I’ve only lost like an inch-ish off my waist! I HAVE to replace my work pants because after a day of wear they’re falling off me (they were already a bit big to begin with but now it’s getting a bit much).

And to top it all off, this morning it occurred to me to try on the pair of size eight shorts I purchased from American Eagle this summer. They were too small then by at least a size and I wore them because I was too lazy to send them back.

They fit me perfectly this morning and it occurred to me they’ll likely be too big once I hit my goal weight (130-135ish) this summer. It’s all very exciting but I’m also not looking foreword to replacing my closet before college.

I know it’s not at all a lot of weight lost and I don’t at all have much to lose compared to so many people on this sub, but I’m extremely proud of myself and wanted to share. :)
