The Slow First Steps
Hey!
So the start of this journey is happening, and the first few steps are the slowest.
Today we woke up quite late, after having been out last night for the first time in quite a while.
It was also the first time we’ve had to choose drinks that were Keto-friendly, which was interesting, and I had to have drinks that weren’t extremely high in alcohol because I had to drive.
Don’t worry, I sobered up before I drove, just in case you were thinking I’m a rebel.
I had a Castle Light (because I like beer, specifically the taste of Castle Light). Not the lowest carbs, I know. I also had 2 double brandies and coke zero (one was with coke light because they didn’t have coke zero at the other bar). They’re more friendly on the weight than beer, so I think I’m safe.
Erin tried vodka and sparkling water, with a slice of lemon. It’s safe to drink for the diet, but not for the taste buds…
Stellenbosch was having their annual ‘Vensters’ shows, which involves multiple stages set up around town where the new first-year students perform various acts, dances, etc.
After these shows, the bars usually fill up for after parties.
Today was a lazy day.
I tried out a new workout in the gym, which was actually fun, and I feel it all over (this is apparently a good sign).
Now for some editing on my blog site to make it pretty and interesting, and to think of something to write for tomorrow.
