NSV: I’m...FULL!?
Accidentally posted this in the wrong sub originally 😣
M/5’9”/249lb. Chronically overweight / obese since high school. I wrestled since I was in 1st grade so I was always in pretty good shape during the season, but would gain 20-30 lb every year after wrestling season. (I wrestled 160 my senior yr at the same height I am now lol that seems like such a crazy weight).
After high school I decided I didn’t want to wrestle in college and became a glutton. I still ate the same way I always did during the off-season, but the problem was that my whole life was an off-season now!
I thought I’d never lose the weight again because I just gorged myself on whatever I wanted, same as I did when I was younger.
At my largest weight (275 on Mar 1) I decided that was way enough. For the past month and a half or so I’ve dropped to 1600 calories a day. The first 2 weeks were rough. I was fatigued and hungry constantly but I got used to it. I had to control my willpower at times but I was able to be disciplined about it (aside from 1 day I ate 2500 cals)
Fast forward, down 25 lbs. I just ate a burrito bowl from chipotle (chicken, salsa, sour cream, vegetables, and lettuce instead of rice, ~350 calories) and IM ACTUALLY FULL. Not “full” as in I can’t move I’m so full, but FULL as in, not thinking about my next meal anymore, and would say no to a slice of pizza right now.
I don’t think I’ve ever had this signal from my body and I’m frickin ecstatic. Just thought I’d share 😊😊
