Jan 1st - Today (May 27) progress. I'm finally seeing a change.

Hey y'all.

I just wanted to share my progress thusfar. Back in December I weighed 325lbs, and on Jan 1st when I officially started my journey, I weighed in at 321lbs. My current weight is 265lbs. My progress this month has been slowing down and I've been feeling a little bummed out. However, today I went to pick up a shirt at the store, and I was able to buy an XL (down from XXL) and a size 40 jean (down from 46). This was the first time I've been able to shop at a normal person store in years, and it made me so happy I had to share.

Here's a progress photo: https://imgur.com/a/qBjBha8

I started off by just setting a calorie goal, and seeing how that worked. I ate what I considered to be healthy, and started lifting weights the first week.

After about 2 weeks, I visited a trainer, who gave me a calorie goal & macro goal, and I started a body building workout plan. For the first 1.5 months I lifted 3 days a week, and after that I added in 3 days of cardio in between my lift days. It's pretty much just been that ever since.

It's been really nice to have consistency in my workouts, and I've been able to challenge myself to run further on some days, or do an extra set when I lift. I have a weekly cheat meal, but this month it seems like that's slowed me down a lot, so I'm going to tone down the frequency of those.

Thanks for reading, I have a long way to go, but I have to recognize that I've made some progress.

edited to add current weight.
