My trip to Italy when I had just started Maintenance

Hey there! I wanted to share my vacation weight store with you guys! For a little bit of a background, I lost 35lb over 8 months and reached my GW in June. I soon stopped tracking my daily intake and just used my weight as a tracking statistic.

Eating meals with my hubby was one of the main reasons I had put on weight (around 20lbs) after marriage. We are both foodies but his body needs more food while we both want more food. :D He's skinny, taller and a man, so CICO is on his side of this story.

We had a 15 day vacation to Italy, we were going for a proper vacation after two years. I was looking forward to eating Italian food but I was a teeny bit apprehensive about the backslide I would have to face on my return. But, I knew I wasn't going to hold back in Italy.

So, off we went. We stuffed our faces with delicious junk the entire trip. Pizzas, pastas, cream croissants, gelatos, tiramisus, beers, wines, all sorts of breads, cheeses and plenty of olive oil. I honestly did not eat any fruit or any vegetable except for 2 apples. I didn't have a scale to track my weight, when I did see one, I didn't step on it. I just relaxed and did not obsess.

I came back home yesterday. I weighed myself this morning and I have put on LESS THAN A POUND of weight. WHAT?! That half a pound doesn't count, does it? I am SO happy about this! I just wanted to share this with you guys. :D

I do have to say that what helped me was that we walked. We walked in Venice, we hiked in Cinque Terre, we walked in Rome, all day long. I think the CO balanced the CI, that or Italy is magical in every way! ;)
