Small tip for the office
Recently, instead of packing an individual lunch each day, I've been "batch cooking" lunches and bringing myself a few larger Tupperwares at the beginning of the week with ingredients for a simple lunch (chicken, rice, mixed veggies). Doing so has resulted in storing the Tupperwares in the office fridge instead of in a small container in my lunch box, which I usually keep on my desk.
In the last few weeks, I've found that keeping food off my desk has made a HUGE difference in the amount that I snack/nibble at my food throughout the work day. Even though it's only a short walk to the fridge, when I find myself between tasks or when the first pang of hunger hits, it takes a little more effort to get up and prepare a meal, rather than instinctively reaching into my lunch box for something.
Figured I'd share in case this helps any other office dwellers :)
