To everyone with gym anxiety
Hello, i had some fear of going to gym, mainly if people trying to approach me. Also the decision was important for me, because i have problems with drinking alcohol.
55kg, want to make it to 48 and after that just get fit and gain some muscle shapes. So i hit the gym last week, im going every day - when i train - i do all muscle groups ( will do until next week , then pick a program ) and in my next day ( off days ) im doing cardio only for 60/90 minutes.
Somehow couple of people tried to approach me and ask me questions how they make this and that exercice properly, somehow they think im capable and knowledgable - it feels great, never ever asked me for advice that i may know. Not works well because im born mute, but the feel is great. Somehow i was able to setup the treadmill for her.
Things people will think when you go to the gym:
"How many reps do I have left?"
"Is that guy done with the squat rack?"
"I hate lunges"
"Haven't seen her before. Good for her."
"Do I have time to do some cardio and grocery shopping before my wife gets home? Maybe I should ask her to stop by the store."
"I love this song!"
"I hate this song."
"Why did I buy a house with stairs leg day rocks but tomorrow is going to be rough"
"Did I leave my water bottle on the elliptical?"
See a trend? Most people aren't even going to notice you. Go there and rock out nobody cares about you and if they even notice it will probably be good things :)
Also the big muscle boys and girls start to notice you after they see you couple of times and they start greeting You. Its not a shame for showing up to the gym, its a shame if you dont.
