"Keeping it off is harder than losing"...I always thought that was ridiculous, but now fully believe it.

So I have successfully lost over 55 pounds and achieved my goal weight of 165 pounds (M, 6ft). Hooray!...right?

I have been able to maintain my weight for the past 4 months, and the past 4 months have been 10 times harder for me than the time I was losing weight. I got almost addicted to the thrill of stepping on the scale every Saturday morning and seeing the number tick downwards.

The rushes of excitement and joy from making slow progress towards my goal just suddenly stopped, and now it is just staying the course. It's no longer "fun" and "exciting"...its just living normal life.

Obviously when I step back I am thrilled about the change I made and am proud I have been able to keep the weight off, but I do miss the days when I would finally hit a milestone, or break through a plateau.
