Only able to lose weight on a low carb diet?
I don’t find low carb diets to be sustainable ( it’s difficult to eat out and I feel weaker working out), but lately it the only approach to a calorie deficit that actually results in me losing weight.
I spent 4 month counting (all) calories eating a very balanced diet, working out 45min a day (mix of cardio and weights) with no measurable results. After not losing a single pound, I broke down and cut carbs (eating at the exactly same deficit) and started losing 2 pounds a week.
Has anyone had this experience or have thoughts about what explains this?
My whole life I’ve been a big proponent of CICO (and consistently had results) but now I’m not so sure.
