I think one thing that has helped me stick with my weight loss journey this time around is accountability and forgiveness. I didn't lose weight this week. I'm still at the weight I was a week or so ago. And I know why. I didn't exercise, a ate more than usual do to depression, I wasn't doing what I had to do. and you know what? That's ok. I fucked up a bit, I recognized that. Most importantly, i have to not beat myself up over it and just get back on track this week. My downfalls have always been thinking that there is no going back once I mess up. But that's not true. Holding yourself accountable doesn't mean you are gonna beat yourself up and think your self worth as a human has gone done because you didn't follow a diet. It's ok to mess up, as long as you recognize what you did wrong but also forgive yourself. I think these are very important elements to remember while going on a diet.
