tried to be on a calorie deficit for 2 weeks and didn’t lose any weight….

i’ve always been 115-125 my whole life. as i got into my 20s & the pandemic, i’m 160. trying to lose weight, went on a calorie deficit of eating 2400 usually to about 1500-1700 a day. i literally didn’t lose a single pound. i actually don’t know if that’s not a bad thing or if my expectations are too high or what?

i’ve never attempted to lose weight so i’m not familiar with how long things take but i figured i’d have lose even half a pound?!

i’m getting my period this week and i’m not sure if that is a factor. or water retention. or the fact that i didn’t pair this calorie deficit with exercise. someone explain this to me :,-(
