Mfp Vs bmr
For the last year I have followed mfps recommendation of 1200 kcal per day for me to lose weight.
To me:
Female
37
5 foot 1
169 lbs (yes fat)
Sedentary aka Office gremlin (I do walk 12000 steps a day in the week, 8000 at the weekends)
I don't eat breakfast cause I can't stomach food this early and so it's not really a problem. Also I love veggies so ...its harder to actually hit 1200kcal daily.
I did start using mfp cause my GP recommendet it but lately I have been told by people in other communities that I need to recheck my bmr and 1200 kcal is too low.
I am not sure what to do now. I did about 5 different bmr calculators and all say roughly 1400kcal just maintenance.
At a loss really what to believe besides that losing weight slowed down a lot lately and of course I can't go lower calory wise.
Why is mfp recommending such a low kcal intake while everyone else keeps saying that's dangerous?
