Weight loss methods
Just thought I'd share my own journey over the last eighteen months.
Started losing weight by halving my calorie intake and doing a bit of exercise, this was getting to 45 and being told I'm a hair away from type 2 diabetes. This was more out of panic than anything else, I did this for a couple of months and was awful.
Now, I go gym 4-5 times a week, I just do weights and get 70-80k steps a week in, my work is pretty physical which is a bonus, I guess.
Diet wise, I tend to have a carb breakfast, either a banana, apple and rice krispie square or maybe some eggs on a thin bagel.
Lunch tends to be a protein shake with a thin with some ham or chicken, dinner is usually protein and fibre heavy, I have some fruit and maybe a biscuit as a snack and then a carb supper, I tend to eat around 2000 calories a day and then maybe 4000 on a Friday when I have a bottle of wine and some popcorn.
This has allowed to be as strong as I was when I was doing loads of combat sports in my 20s, almost as fit, and have dropped for a 52 inch waist to a 40-42 inch waist. Still another 4 inches to go, I think it's a better method of figuring myself out rather than weighing myself
