A little bit of encouragement

As of this morning, I’m down 35 lbs. since Jan. 1 of this year.

I have had to buy new clothes. I’m on the last notch of my belt buckle. Even my underwear went down a size.

There was a time I was a little frustrated, because no one said anything to me. I was afraid that even with all the hard work I had put in, no one even noticed.

But, I was doing it for me, not for them. I kept going. I didn’t rely on motivation, because that’s fleeting. Instead, I stuck with my plan. I walked every day. I tracked my food. I had discipline.

Recently I’ve caught up with friends I hadn’t seen in awhile. I finally got my “Holy crap, what have you been doing?” moment.

So, keep it up. Stay disciplined. Take measurements and pictures. Savor the process.

And then, one day, you’ll be an “overnight” sensation.
