plateau or just impatient?
hello :) ive been trying to lose weight since spring and have successfully lost 6kg so far!! i started at 1700 and cut down to 1600 gradually with no problems at all (i wanted to cut calories instead of exercising, and i take online lessons so my life is pretty sedentary, which is why i started at 1700). however about a week and a half ago, over the span of two weeks, i had a couple days where i didnt stick to my daily calories. since then i havent been able to lose or gain even 0.1kg. ive been back on track for about a week and a half, but nothing. i even tried to cut my calories back for a little while, but still nothing. usually within this time id lose 0.25 or 0.5kg but my weight is exactly the same as before i failed to stick to my daily calories :(
basically my question is am i in a plateau, or is my body still living off the weekly calories from before? or am i just not counting calories right? should i cut my calories to 1500 or 1550, or return to maintenance for a little while, or just see if it sorts itself out?
