I can't find the reason why I'm not losing weight, but gaining.
I am extremely desperate and don't know what to do anymore. I have been trying to lose weight for 2 years and have only gained weight so far. Before the 2 years I was on a strict diet and only ate just under 1000kcal, since then I have been trying to lose weight in a healthy way.
I've tried everything, interval fasting, keto diet. I also tried to eat normally for a while, more or less above my calorie requirement, so that my body would get enough nutrients again.
Then I did nutritional counselling and paid a lot of money for a diet plan. My blood was taken and I was given a list of products I can eat and products I can't eat. I was given an exact unit of what I could eat and when. I did this for 6 weeks and nothing changed. Exactly the same weight as before.
I have done various tests, a blood test and a metabolic test.
The blood test showed that I have a slight iron deficiency and my kidneys didn't have the best values either. My doctor said that the value is not dangerous because it could be a side effect of a diet. She said that my kidneys might not be absorbing the protein so well.
The metabolic test showed a lot of bad things. The sugar in my body was relatively high and the fat burning was very low. She recommended an alkaline diet.
In fact, I followed this diet for 2 weeks and lost some weight, but I think it was because I hardly ate any protein and lost muscle mass.
In the meantime, I have noticed that I always suffer from severe nausea when I eat. But only with certain products, for example tomatoes. According to google, I could be suffering from a histamine intolerance, which actually fits pretty well. Because I haven't eaten any hitamine-like products for a few days and I no longer have nausea.
Then I read that people with histamine intolerance often gain weight or can't come down. But I also read exactly the opposite, that these people lose weight very quickly.
