Unemployed and finally losing weight
I lost my job due to depression awhile ago and lack of funds has forced a huge diet change. Looking for the cheapest foods available i was surprised at how healthy the options are.
A soup made with dry beans, fresh celery, carrots, and onions became a staple and was so much healthier than my previous diet that my waistline started shrinking immediately.
Food pantries are hard to get to and now I'm at the point where some days I just go hungry and the more I do it, the less it bothers me. I hate that i let things get this miserable but Ive lost like 10 inches, and Im pretty happy about that even though i might not be accomplishing it in the healthiest way.
I'm looking for work but part of me worries I'll fall back into old habits once i have an income again, and looking for therapists that i can actually stand talking to has been challenging.
But I'm glad I have a real example of how much money you can save by eating healthy.
