Turning Down Ozempic

I am a 31YO female 5’0 - CW: 247 and over the last year or so I’ve been struggling to lose weight. I’ll lose 2 lbs and gain it back and it continues on and on. There’s no downward trend there’s no significant loss. I have trouble losing just 5 lbs.

As of 10/23 I started tracking my calories and as of today I’ve lost 2 lbs. While my weight has been up and down, the 2 lb mark was a new low weigh in for me since I started.

I went to the doctor yesterday and she suggested Ozempic for weight loss. I’ve heard of this before but I didn’t think I’d qualify. Reading the symptoms really turns me away from wanting to try this medication. I’m truly considering just sticking to what I’m doing and making lifestyle changes. I’m really at a crossroads because the medication may truly help me but I just can’t fathom having to deal with those side effects.

Has anyone been at this point and decided to not proceed with Ozempic?

I’m now tracking my calories, working out and making better decisions and hoping that I can truly just get the weight off naturally. Any advice?
