Day 2 nightly walk advice

After a long day of getting spit up on, peed on, and kicked, I had had enough. My nerves were to the breaking point and I could feel myself getting more and more frustrated with my infant. I love him to pieces honestly but it was hot yesterday and it all just pushed me right up against that edge.

As soon as he was down for the night, I asked my mom to keep an eye on him so I could go for a walk.

Thank God she said yes.

Guys, I walked for 2 miles. I kept up a sweat-inducing pace the entire time. My map app said my average was 2.6mph and I did 2 miles in 44 minutes. It was so amazing to just walk away from the stressful house knowing my son was sleeping and I wasn't expected back until I was ready to be done walking.

That was yesterday, 7/23/18.

Today I walked 3 miles in 1hr6mins. I slowed my pace a little to prolong my walk but it was just as peaceful. I still worked up a decent sweat and had that feeling of accomplishment by the end. I'm planning on walking off an initial 50lbs and hoping to move on to jogging once my stamina builds up and muscles can handle it.

Laying in bed, the back of my right calf is sore. Is this normal for a new recreational walker? I just bought new shoes on monday if that means anything.
