No matter how deep into denial you may be, don't let these common lies predominantly used by relatives prevent you from the truth and your potential happiness

I get it if my title and picture struck a chord with ya, I was deep in denial when that picture was taken. I remember why I posed next to that fresh, poorly assembled fence. Our neighbors hated our dogs. Roxy, the nimble stick wielding pest jumped their old fence in her free time. Not relevant, but what matters is that shameful walk to the person who you know just took an unholy picture of you, which always happened to be my Mom.

I should mention I was probably 17 here. 230 pounds and standing awkwardly at 6'2.

Now when I saw that picture the rush of realization hit, and I broke down. I realize now it was all a part of a nasty cycle.

This rollercoaster of emotion wasn't my first rodeo. I've concluded many times I'm no tall curvy glass of ??? - I'm the Michelin Man with awful hair.

But I didn't make a change then, why?

Simple: •Lack of discipline •Completely misinformed •Denial •Using relatives "compliments" as a free pass for more pizza rolls

It was until this year things clicked. Keep in mind that motivation likely will not combat the difficult times during the process, but discipline will.

I'm 19 now and weigh 202 pounds and I'll probably feel comfortable posting something in progresspics at 185. I have to admit what has worked for me is nothing you haven't read before: •MyFitnessPal app (for calorie countin') •Cycling •Intermediate fasting (16:8) •CALORIE DEFICIT = the actual motherfuckin key to this thing •Exercise(ruh roh): do it alone or have a pet to tag along, it doesn't matter just burn those calories doing something you enjoy!

Stop overwhelming yourself with doubt by how easy it sounds, depending on your goals it can be easy. It all boils down to mind over matter. Whether or not you can be disciplined 80% of the time depends on if you want to make the change.

Stop selling yourself short.

It's amazing how forgiving our body can be, no use in taking advantage of that except for the occasional cheat meal.

Cheers!

Hey thanks for reading, if my formatting was atrocious I apologise as this is my first post!
