The importance of a decent scale...

Well, I started my journey about two weeks ago with CICO. Moderate exercise like walking included. Before I decided to start the last time I had weighed myself was maybe a month and a half earlier and I weighed in at 237. I didn’t have access to a scale right away when I started calories so I initially used 237 as my starting weight. About halfway through my first week I bout a very cheap analog scale($8). First time I weighed in on that it displayed 255. At first I thought that couldn’t be right but I tried again several days later and it was about the same. I had my SO test out the scale and she weighed in at what she considered her normal weight so I simply shrugged it off like I had put on even more weight and cursed myself for not giving myself an accurate starting weight. Come to find out the scale was bogus. Purchased a new one today and it showed 228.6. I believe that this is indeed what I’m currently at and if that’s the case I’m actually 10lbs down from what I considered my starting weight. Thought I’d share this with you guys and get your take on the importance of having an accurate scale!
