I was told to not gain any more weight during this pregnancy
I have been dealing with hyperemesis gravidarum with my pregnancy. My pre pregnancy weight was about 210 pounds. For weeks on end all I was able to keep down were different variations of carbs (pizza one week, chocolate milk the next, etc.) I was hospitalized in the beginning of December for vomiting and my weight reached an all time high of 285 pounds, partially from all the fluids they were pumping me full of.
Additionally, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and my blood sugars have not been great. I got on a new medication that regulated my heart rate and helped get rid of my vomiting. So, starting on January 2nd, I decided I needed to make a change. I started logging my food on my fitness pal and going to the gym again. In the past, I would always give up on logging a day if I went over on my calories or whatever and then I would lose my motivation. Not this time. I've logged every day, no matter what. I have decreased my carbohydrate intake to help lower my blood sugar. I'm still not as active as I'd like to be since I'm 28 weeks and dealing with symphysis pubic disorder as well. But I go and ride the stationary bike and lift weights as often as I can. I've lost a bit of weight and my doctor was really happy about that when I saw him today, which reinforced what I'm doing.
This group has been a great motivation and I can't wait to see what progress I can make!
