Going 100%
Most people probably feel that it's okay to mess up on your health and fitness goals once in a while, as long as you get back on track. For most people, that's true, I would imagine. I feel like I'm different though. When I give in and eat junk food, I tell myself I'll get back on track, but then a few days later, I do it again, then fewer days later I do it again, and it repeats until eventually I'm just eating unhealthy in general again.
So far the only thing I've done consistently with my efforts to lose weight is letting myself have 'just a little' or 'just this once', and I've always failed. So this time around I'm going to try actually giving it 100%, instead of less than that like I have been. I feel like I haven't really been doing the best job that I could be doing, and because of that, I've sabotaged my own efforts at losing weight.
Does anyone else get this? Am I setting myself up for failure again expecting myself to give 100%? Is it reasonable to hold myself to that standard?
