NSV: I got the best compliment ever
Here I am, hanging for dear life, on to the last pound I have to lose. I have lost 35 pounds in the last eight months. (yay me)
I started running recently and it has turned me into this famished tigress. So I am being kind to my body and maintaining for a bit while I get used to seeing the same number on the scale, without expectations.
My friend is leaving town, so I went over to her place yesterday. Her roomie, who I am meeting for the first time comes in to chat.
The three of us talk about a mutual friend (who I consider very beautiful, graceful and super fit).
The roomie goes all "Yaar! Kya figure hai yaar uska!" which means "Man! She has a figure to die for!". We are like "Yeeeaahh".
Then said roomie looks at me and says "Iska bhi!", "Hers too!" while she did this hourglass shape with her hands.
Damn.
My heartbeat picked up instantly and I thanked her for saying that. I have literally never got that comment before.
She didn't know how I looked 8 months ago, even 5 months ago. Maybe this is how I appear to others, if not to my own eyes.
Dayum. I still can't get over it. That's why I am making this post, to remember may years later that I had this moment. If I ever forget, that is.
I danced my ass off at the going away party last night!
