One Change is the Beginning (Cursing out an Inanimate Object)
I just want to say "F-You" to this thing: http://www.risebakingcompany.com/bars/?p=crispy-bars#best-maid-individually-wrapped-crispy-bars
This little SOB packed 600 delicious calories wrapped in cellophane goodness from the gods stocked conveniently at every convenience store near me. I'd have me one and sometimes two a day.
But then I started counting calories and figured out serving sizes. I cut this habit to the actual serving size, 1/2 a bar--300+ calories.
Then I realized I can find a less calorie heavy substitutes for my sugar addiction, like 1/2 a hershey's bar. I'm making healthier choices and only adding 100+ calories to the end of my meal. I hate that I still need a sweet at the end of a meal, but budgeting it in to my total for the day is working. 100 calories is better than 600.
But it is one small change that is generating great rewards.
