Finding it hard to lose weight even though CW is not TOO far from GW (~20 lbs)

26F, 5’ 2”, CW: 138 lbs, GW: 120 lbs, daily activity: relatively sedentary since student

I am seeing so many posts of people losing 30 or more pounds and am wondering how you guys do it?! I’m here struggling to even lose 5 lbs. My daily activity is not very active right now but I am relatively good with calorie intake. All my life my weight has been between 115-125 and I am really struggling right now with my new 138 weight. My clothes don’t fit properly anymore. People notice the weight gain and I feel very embarrassed especially because I look very rotund in all my new family pictures. I never had a double chin or arm flabber and I have that now. Never had to deal with thigh chafing when at my lower weight whereas now thigh chafing is a very real and constant struggle when wearing dresses. I keep having to buy bigger sized clothing which I really am avoiding because I don’t want to get comfortable at a new higher weight, but just want to get back at my lower weight where everything fit.

Does anybody have any tips or ideas of things I can incorporate into my daily routine to help me slowly and steadily lose this weight? Any lifestyle changes that I can incorporate that will help me slowly lose some lbs but also help me maintain a healthier life in general?

Thank you so much guys.
