Lost 55 lbs in 2018, gained back 53 during lockdown, ready to make slow and steady changes
I've lost 55lbs before (220lbs to 165, 5'10), but that was three years ago now. Since then, I've steadily maintained 180-190lbs with a decent amount of muscle, until lately when I finished school and moved cities.
I stopped going to the gym, ordered takeout 1-4 days a week, and in general was not watching my calories. the maintenance period shortly before this was Rocky as well, with me going to the gym 1-2 days a week with no cardio. the result of all this was me climbing to 218lbs after maintaining for 2 years.
1 week ago, I decided to count calories, IF, and IIFYM, committing to exercise (lifting weights, home workouts, and light to exercise) at least 4 days a week. At a 100 calorie deficit per day, I am not trying to make a drastic weight change, just a lifestyle change that can be maintained. So far, despite minimal changes on the outside, my body image has improved significantly and I'm excited to continue this way.
