A small victory since May 2021-November 2021
28F here, and been struggling to lose weight for the longest time; between dealing with loneliness from quarantine which caused rampant binge eating (which I'm not very proud of), depression, high stress, anxiety, etc, I added a lot of extra weight to the point I got to 196 lbs.
The worst part out of everything is that I didn't control my type 2 diabetes-I was suffering from high triglycerides (started at 1093), high cholesterol, a1c is shooting off the chart, high glucose, you can name it.
After realizing that I desperately needed to do something since it was uncontrolled for so long, I decided to start working with a registered dietician, modified my eating plans, learned how to cook, currently learning how to get past old addictions like binge eating/eating tons of sweets and carbs, learning how to control eating when I get stressed or bored-managed to drop about -16 lbs. in one month. My triglycerides are a bit high (now at 304, dropped 477 points since May 2021), glucose is now stabilizing, even my doctor was impressed that I managed to turn my life around.
I never dropped a pants size or so for about 2 years, nor even a shirt size for that matter till recently, or even lose weight about learning how to do things for myself. I know that -16 lbs. isn't probably that much, but it's always one step at a time.
