Day 4, aiming for 1400 calories a day

So far I went over one day by 100 calories, but twice I've been under by 70-120 calories. Today is day 4.

I'm (mid 30s F) currently 5'1" and 186.8lbs. Prediabetic and a history of GERD and kidney stones. All labwork aside from the A1c is withinn normal range. Very strong family history of diabetes and high blood pressure, which has been good sonfar. Not currently on any meds other than OTC ibuprofen or acetaminophen as needed. Mostly sedentary, but depending on where I end up at work each day, I could be at a computer for 8 hours or getting 23,000 steps in at work, and anything in between.

This isn't the first time I've tried to lose weight and get healthier. I've been gaining and losing the same 10 lbs for a couple years now. Im hoping I can stick with it this time.

I've cut out soda aside from a small frozen coke every other day (I was getting a large one daily, plus a medium or large regular coke in addition to that). Also cut back on junk food and trying to replace donuts/cookies with fruit. No other dietary changes so far. I'm not sure about my ultimate goal weight yet, for now I'm focused on improving my A1c and preventing the prediabetes from turning into diabetes. Ibjave followup lab work scheduled for early next year, and plan on asking my doctor for a referral to a dietician at that time.
