Just started and losing ~3 lb/week, is that unhealthy?
22M, 5'8, I think my BMI is pretty high, here's a current pic: https://imgur.com/a/JZ6JLYu
I've never worked out my entire life, and my diet has also been pretty bad my entire life as well. I started dieting and lifting (5 days a week for about an hour and a half each session) about a month ago and have lost about 15 pounds since then. I seem to be averaging about 3 pounds lost per week, but I've read in a few places that this is potentially too quick and unhealthy. My goal is to shed my fat while minimizing muscle loss, with the intent to eventually go on a clean bulk to build muscle.
I'm using MyFitnessPal, specifically the "lose a pound a week" setting, which has me consuming 1870 calories day. I pretty much eat all of them, except I don't factor in my aforementioned workouts at all. Tangentially, I started taking creatine (2.5g/day) about 2 weeks ago.
Thoughts? Should I up my calorie intake by a few hundred calories per day?
Thanks!
