Will I be able to lose weight with a transplant?

I recently got a transplant and gained 40 plus pounds since then. I’m on 5 or 6 different meds and I think it’s making it harder to lose weight. I want to get the weight back off because I know it won’t be good on the newly transplanted organ .

. I believe I was around 226 in the hospital and now I’m 264. I try to walk At least 1.5 miles for 45 minutes 3 times a week and then sometimes I’ll do 2 workout videos on the days I don’t go for walks

All the meds I’m on probably cause me to retain water. Is there anything I could do to speed up the process. The weight keeps fluctuating. I’ll start off at 260 and it’s skips and changes all throughout the week.
